What is a paušalni obrt and is it right for me?
It is a flat-rate sole trader scheme for annual income up to a legal threshold. Bookkeeping is minimal and tax is a fixed quarterly amount, which makes it popular with freelancers and remote workers. Whether it fits depends on your income and clients. We check that with you before registering.
Up to what income can I stay on the flat rate?
Up to 60,000 € of annual income (the threshold since 2025). The same threshold applies to mandatory VAT registration. We track your income during the year and warn you in time.
Can I have an obrt alongside a job?
Yes. An obrt alongside employment is a common model for side work. Contributions are then calculated differently than when the obrt is your only occupation; we explain what that means in your case.
Do I need to come to Zagreb?
No. Documents are exchanged digitally and we talk by email, phone, WhatsApp or video call. You are welcome at the office if you prefer meeting in person.
How much does it cost?
Bookkeeping for sole traders starts at 70 € per month; a paušalni obrt is the simplest form, so it is closest to that starting price. After a short call you receive a concrete quote, free and without obligation.
