What we do for foreign clients

Everything a company or freelancer needs to operate legally in Croatia, from day one to year-end.

Office buildings

Company formation in Croatia

Setting up a d.o.o. or j.d.o.o. (limited company) or an obrt (sole trader): choosing the right form, registration, tax numbers and bank account paperwork. Most cases are done in a matter of days.

Card payment at a small business

Freelancers and digital nomads

The Croatian flat-rate sole trader (paušalni obrt) is the simplest and cheapest way to invoice legally. We tell you whether you qualify, register it and file the yearly return.

Signing business documents

Bookkeeping and VAT

Monthly books, VAT registration and returns, EU and cross-border transactions, e-invoicing under Croatia's Fiscalisation 2.0 rules. Documents are exchanged digitally, no paper.

Payroll and employment

Employment contracts, salary calculations, contributions and the mandatory JOPPD filings, including for foreign employees and directors.

Annual accounts and corporate tax

Year-end financial statements, corporate income tax return, profit distribution to foreign owners and the filings that go with them.

Tax questions, answered before you act

Tax residency, double taxation, paying yourself as a director, business expenses and what is deductible. Planned in advance, not fixed afterwards.

Why foreign clients choose us

We do not wait for you to ask. We track your deadlines, tax changes and numbers, and we get in touch before something becomes a problem or a missed opportunity.

You get one person who knows your business and answers in English, by email, phone or WhatsApp. No call centre, no explaining your case from scratch every time.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with clients who do not speak Croatian?

Yes. Several of our clients are foreign-owned companies and expats. All communication, documents and explanations can be in English.

Can a foreigner open a company or sole trader business in Croatia?

Yes. EU citizens can register directly; non-EU citizens usually need a residence permit, which is often tied to the business itself. We walk you through the right order of steps.

What is a paušalni obrt and is it right for me?

It is a flat-rate sole trader scheme for annual income up to a legal threshold. Bookkeeping is minimal and tax is a fixed quarterly amount, which makes it popular with freelancers and remote workers. Whether it fits depends on your income and clients. We check that with you before registering.

Do I need to come to Zagreb?

No. Everything can be done remotely: documents are exchanged digitally and we talk by email, phone, WhatsApp or video call. You are welcome at the office if you prefer meeting in person.

How much does it cost?

Starting prices are 70 € per month for sole traders (obrt) and 130 € per month for companies (d.o.o., j.d.o.o.). The exact monthly fee depends on the number of documents and employees; after a short call you receive a concrete quote, free and without obligation.

Can you take over from my current accountant?

Yes. You sign with us and we handle the handover of documents with your previous accountant. The cleanest switch is at the start of a month or a year, but it can be done at any time.
